What is the Populele Ukulele?
Populele is a smart ukulele: It has 72-LED fretboard connects with the APP via Bluetooth that shows exactly how you can play your favorite songs. For the beginners this is a big PLUS in this instrument because they can have a quick and satisfying way to start their musical adventure and for the experienced it can help to increase their repertoire and improving it.
Populele it’s still a traditional and acoustic ukulele with high quality sound without the APP and LED.
Its main characteristics are:
Carbon string material and ABS fingerboard. It has 18-tooth closed button and HPL synthetic fiber. The Bluetooth has 4.0 distance and the battery you can use to play the ukulele is 2xAAA (The battery is not included with the package).
It’s compatible with Android 4.3 or above and iOS 8.0 or above. The support APP that you can use is Populele Smart Ukulele control and you can do the download in the App or Play Store.
About the APP:
There’s an interaction match between the APP and the LED light. The APP has voice recognition and it will guide you and help you with the rhythm. It has updates all the time so it can have unlimited music. You can also build a band with it.
Bluetooth is only available for connection with the APP – It does not work on speakers.

How to charge it:
It can be charged with a regular smartphone adapter with USB to Micro USB cable. The cable can be connected on the left side of the instrument and when the LED on the last fret light up it will say the progress of charging from left to right. It usually takes about 3 hours to fully charge and when it’s done the 4 LED will not light up anymore. It can last up to 10 hours once it’s fully charged.
How to tune:
In the APP you can go to the Tools and choose “Tuner”. You have to rotate the tuning peg to change the pitch level of each string. Adjust the peg and repeatedly pluck the string until the needle goes to the center. The instrument usually uses the most common C6 GCEA tuning.
How to clean:
Is like cleaning a normal ukulele or guitar. Wipe off the surface with a mineral oil or lemon oil. However, because the Populele has the LED fretboard, you can use a simple cotton to clean.
